How to Clean Easy Pro Rubber Air Diffusor
Air Diffusers
Our air diffusers are sometimes called an air bubbler. They consist of a variety of mediums like an air stone or rubber membrane diffuser. Either way, these air diffusers are designed to have a certain amount of air pressure pushed through them where the air comes out in tiny bubbles, as seen in the photo below. The air diffusers sit on the bottom of the pond and the tiny air bubbles then get dispersed throughout the pond water from the bottom all the way up to the top. This is the BEST way to aerate as it aerates the entire body of water, if properly placed and sized.
The air diffusers come in different sizes and are designed to work with a certain amount of air pressure to work optimally. If you use too large of an air compressor, the air bubbles will be too large and will simply rise to the surface of the pond and burst which is not what you want. You want tiny bubbles to get dispersed throughout the pond water, not for them to pop outside of the water.
We can help you choose what air diffuser or bubbler you may need. Aeration is really important to have in any body of water as proper aeration helps prevent a stagnant, unhealthy, unaerated bottom of the pond from forming. Ideally, it's best to have aeration combined with a good pond cleaning bacteria such as our PlanktoniX (available in several sizes) which is a powerful, safe, top-of-the-line, all-natural product to help clean your pond.
If you need help choosing a complete, diffused aeration system as I've just explained using an air diffuser that sits on the bottom of the pond and are super easy to install, let us know. We are happy to help.
One of our rubber membrane air diffusers in action. Tiny bubbles are dispersed into the pond and absorbed into the water which adds important aeration to your pond. Aerating by using a diffused aeration system like this can be the best way to aerate a pond or lake.
